I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sending me out the RoofWright Trail version for the orangeries and conservatories module which I will certainly be buying. Until I received this trial I was using what I would class as a much inferior design program – and I actually had to draw on the orangery roofs using Microsoft Paint. Although this was okay, it didn’t give the right impression and didn’t look professional. I received your program on a 14-day trial and 3 days after, I went to an appointment and sold an orangery in excess of 20K which I believe is down to the visual impact and design that the program is able to deliver.

The first day I received the program I was unsure how to use it. However, a quick phone call to your remote support operators was very helpful and I was able to very rapidly learn how to use the program and begin to design orangeries. I found this to be very helpful and efficient.

Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and I look forward to using your program in the future, knowing that help is always at hand.

RoofWright - so much more than simply the best conservatory software

In the past I have written to say just how much we appreciated RoofWright - whether it's the software itself or the total help and support that we receive from all at RPS.

When we first got together on this project we selected RoofWright because it honestly produced far superior 3D illustrations than any of the so called competitors. As we learnt to exploit it our sales improved - and they were already good. Being able to guarantee that salespeople ask the right questions (from planning permission to power points) further improved our sales conversion. It also meant that everyone in the sales teams performs to a very similar standard which has dramatically improved on the old 80/20 rule.

Now that RoofWright instantly creates beautifully detailed quotations and sales contracts while still in the customer's home, conversion has improved yet again. And because RoofWright can instantly calculate the new profit in any deal - we find that we can take sales from competitors when previously we thought that we couldn't.

The following experience will help illustrate the real power of RoofWright - last week we poached a salesman from a well know national company. A good salesman, but he'd never sold conservatories. I spent last Friday with him, installing RoofWright on his laptop and showing him how easy it is to follow the in built sales questionnaire. He went out on Saturday afternoon, sold a £16,000 conservatory, printed out the contract in the customer's home and came home with a grin on his face! He was so impressed he sold another on Sunday!

Try doing that we any other conservatory software! People who think they know better are missing the point. They really must see it to understand Roofwright's amazing and easily exploited talent. Pundits say that we are in the midst of a credit crunch. Last year we sold more conservatories than in any previous year. So far this year we are 42% up!

At Sun Shield we like to keep ourselves at the forefront of technology, whether it’s phones, computers or software we all want the newest and the best. Perhaps it’s because we work in a predominantly male dominated industry and we all know how much the guys like their gadgets, but even myself, in fact especially myself, is absolutely transfixed by any form of new technology especially new software more so when it’s clever.

Our surveyors have been using Roofwright (the UK’s leading conservatory design software) for quite some time now and it has always been quite a closely guarded tool, as we’ve only had the one licence I hadn’t had the opportunity to see how it works for myself until now. Roofwright very kindly offered me a trial of their gold package to see what I thought and I must say I was most impressed.

Now for those of you that know me well you’ll know I am pretty good with a computer I pick up how to use new software really quickly and if people get computer problems in the office I can normally fix it for them. I am much more proficient with a computer than the surveyor that uses Roofwright on a daily basis so was quietly quite positive about my capability navigating around the system; my main concern was my lack of technical knowledge when it comes to putting a conservatory together.

How would I know where the wall plate went, I wasn’t entirely sure what a wall plate was? Not every conservatory is a standard shape so how would I know where to add the right bits in and where? With my trial I was given free software support but I wasn’t sure they’d be too happy fielding questions from someone that didn’t know a great deal about the structural integrity of a roof. So I must admit it was all a bit daunting and I was a bit worried it might all be a bit much for me.

Well I needn’t have worried. Roofwright is really clever. We have two scenarios here, one of us that has an excellent level of technical  knowledge when it comes to putting a conservatory together but limited computer skills and then there’s me with excellent computer skills and limited conservatory knowledge and both of us can use it with ease. I can see why it was kept hidden away from me I must say I have found fiddling with all the different functions quite addictive and as a result have found out a lot more about how a conservatory goes together. I used the support line when completely stuck and got nothing but helpful and friendly solutions and no laughing at my occasional daft questions.

For me to write a post on the software we use you must be able to see that I really think it’s amazing stuff.
